So, what's new?

OK, first off, I really need to post some new pics. I think we've got well over 300 pictures on our camera just waiting to be downloaded. I promise, soon...

Nora and I shot another wedding last Saturday. This one was a total trip. The couple was in their 30s and very low-key. The wedding was relaxed and fun -the bride's cousin got an on-line something so he could officiate at their wedding. We haven't started editing the video yet, but should get to it soon.

I did finish the video for the couple we shot last month (Kristin and Chad). They're an extremely nice couple. If you'd like to view their video, point your browser here.

On the home front, things are pretty steady state. Anna's been doing a fair amount of math work in her school -introductions to the ones, tens, hundreds concepts. She's recently warmed to it and the teacher has nice things to say. Nora and I have our parent/teacher meeting scheduled for next week so we'll hear more then.

Pierce still LOVES school. Of course reading comes easy to him. We've been working with him on math -flash cards at night, some "fun" math books. It'll never be his favorite, but he's definitely improving.

Anna's reading skills continue to improve. More than reading, Anna loves to write. She spells everything phonetically and she's come up with some pretty interesting interpretations. She's starting to write books at school complete with illustrations. We also have a "Mad Libs"-style game that we can play as a family. I think its my new favorite activity and the rest of the family likes it too. Its very cool that Anna can play it, but we do have a hard time keeping her focused. She likes the dry-erase aspect of the player cards as much as anything.

I'm getting a break from business travel, which means Nora's getting a break from playing single parent. I think we're both pretty relieved. Nora's been spending a chunk of time getting her jewelry site up to speed (www.beadedbling4U.com) and she should be ready for serious business pretty soon.

I'm also taking a stab at giving the wedding videography (www.editedmemories.com) a face lift. So we should have all kinds of new stuff to show soon.
