Goings On
Anna has a cold. Fortunately not a bad one, but her nose is a little red and irritated. The other night I put a little Vaseline on it to help it heal while she slept and she commented that she thought the Vaseline smelled like ginger. Hmm, I'm impressed that she 1) knows what ginger is, and 2) was able to make such an observation.
Last weekend was cold and we actually had snow flurries (no accumulation). Saturday morning we really boogied to get to Pierce's soccer game only to find out it had been cancelled. Apparently the whole world had checked the league website ahead of time except us. Sigh.
We went to go see "Horton Hears a Who" on Saturday. Anna really liked it; Pierce was ambivalent (the movie doesn't have any cars in it); Nora and I thought it was 'OK'. The graphics are stunning. I'd recommend it as a DVD rental. We did see a preview for the new Speed Racer movie and Pierce and Anna are VERY excited about seeing it when its released next month.
I actually mowed the lawn a week ago. Our grass is getting green and lush. Current cold weather aside, I expect I'll be mowing twice a week in the near future. Also, as relates to house maintenance, our dog has manage to damage multiple pickets in the fence (read "broke them in two"). Looks like I need to do some fence repair.
Nora's been making a lot of jewelry recently, as well as attending jewelry/bead-making classes. She's really created quite a few stunning pieces. She's contemplating creating a web-based business to sell some of her creations.
Nora and I have been working out together 3 times a week for the last month or so. The workouts are going well and we both feel a lot more physically fit. Nora's brought a level of commitment and determination to her workouts that I haven't seen in the past. I'm very proud of her.
Lastly, the selling of Ghostbusters "stuff" on eBay continues to go well. I had two sales last week. You can see them at:
