Little Things

One of my favorite things is coming home from work and having Anna run and meet me at the door with a big hug. On a good day, when she’s not tired and needing a nap, the look of joy in her face makes me feel 10 feet tall. Usually Pierce will meet me at the door at the same time; with a pretty energetic hug. But I think this is often a case of “me too-ism”, he’s rarely leading the charge.

This weekend we went to Union Station and Science City. The big model train display they setup for the holidays was a big draw for Pierce and Anna. Over the last 3 years they’ve made steady enhancements to the display –but this year they out did themselves. Every time we looked we saw something new. We also paid a visit to the “Robots” exhibit. Based on the movie of the same name, the exhibit is supposed to be an interactive experience for children and adults. It was mostly a bust, but at least we tried. We also paid a visit to the planetarium (another bust), a walk through their permanent train exhibit (a hit), and a quick visit to the illusions section of Science City (another hit).
